Hi, The valve washer should arrive today so will replace tonight, one question is how tight should the big nut be? The nut was so tight before I had to take some clamps to it! Thank you, James

I have ordered a washer from ebay, I will replace this before going any further. I actually did get the toilet to fill properly yesterday for about 5 fills, then it went back to spray; I did this by adjusting the nut. However I tried the same today and its just spraying again. Lets hope...

Many thanks I shall get one ordered. Is it as simple as switch of the water, un-screw the previous float valve and fit this one? Or do I require a plumber to fit?
