I’m building a 1m high oak sleeper retaining wall and can’t decide if I should place a waterproof or breathable membrane behind it. I will install a drainage pipe at the base and infill with 20mm stone. Any thoughts?

I’ll vote for 200mm well compacted type 1, dpm, 100mm concrete. Mesh not required but doesn’t hurt.
