there is no blockages in the bleeding valves in the attic. I took the caps off the ones that were dry. They had black plastic covers over the top once the metal cap was removed. I took the plastic top off and water came shooting out. I managed to put the cap back on but it does not seem to be...
i have checked in the loft and opened all the bleeding valves that i could find. A small bit of air came out of one of them then water flowed. There were two valves that released no water or air that seemed to be dry. I looked in the loft for valves above the boiler but there were none.
i have just tried to turn the boiler on this morning. It went on for about 2 minutes then shut off. The pump is still making a noise so have shut it off again.
There was a bubbling noise from the boiler after it shut off.

the brown button is actually the overheat cutoff button. I do not think it is an old balanced flue sytem - cant see a box anywhere and i cant locate the instructions. I think the main problem is the pump. I think the pump has been running dry as there is an airlock somewhere. I have bleed all...
There does not seem to be any Auto air vent on top of the pump. It only as the electrical casing and then the pipes leading off. I have tried flicking the boiler on and off. It goes on for about a minute then turns itself off.
