    Right so I have a cheap bypass valve and probably a cheap trv to go with it hence the hiss?

    Thanks for the replys. I will give the pin a good look at and lubricate if it needs it. Its not a problem for me its the wife :) The radiator hiss's when its starting to cool which wakes her up. And advise for a hissing valve? a new one?

    The valve is seated correctly but generally this can only be caused by the valve itself? I'm pretty sure its on the right end :)

    Ok the heating on all the radiators works including this one. However in the morning this radiator heats up even though the trv is on 0. Any thoughts? I've tried swapping with another valves but the same thing happens.

    Ok further symptoms :) my boiler guy is back today so won't be long now :) Monday night and Tuesday morning the system worked perfectly and I was warm :) after this the boiler lights and stays on like the system is heating the water but no radiators are heating at all they just all stay cold...

    lol i haven't set anything just seeing if there was anything i'd missed that i could try to see if it works. The only thing I can think of is about 2 weeks ago I had the water temperature sensor changed as this was faulty don't know if this could have caused the issue or if its seperate...
