So shall I just remove the plug of the extension and connect the 3 wires from the extention cable to the FCU. Would that be OK?

Sorry I meant the FCU which u can see in the pic. It doesn't serve anything atm. I think it might be coming from the sockets.

Hi I'm thinking of putting aa hole in the chimney breast to put an extention through. So I can attach TV through it. Can I just take the plug off the extention and attach the cable direct to the fused box .. instead of taking the plug and plugging into the socket on the other wall.

Oh nice. Very handy advice there. And I completely forgot about the clips for the conduit as it will be brick it will be getting hammered into. Do you have a link for the clips? Wouldn't the 16mm be too small ?

Thank you...I will be chasing the wall to hide the cables.. then take it under floor boards make holes in joist and take it around to the side of the chimney breast and put it in the switched fused box which is spurred of the side socket. As per this picture. So I will need trunking or conduit...

How deep do you think is important for a couple of cables. Twin and earth and maybe aerial and ethernet too.
