Air con vent through a wall

Window is a no-go due to the fact that the "exterior" walls of the office are either next door's garage, soil, or next door's garden. A skylight is also not an option due to the positioning of the garage. More insulation won't make much difference.

Air con vent through a wall

Does this provide enough seal around the hose for the warm air to not be drawn back through though?

Air con vent through a wall

I doubt mine will come with that as it's a cheapo model (not much choice when you have to buy something when the weather is already hot!)

Air con vent through a wall

    Brilliant bit of lateral thinking!

Air con vent through a wall

I have a section of my garage as an office. Works very well, except it gets unbearably hot when the sun hits the roof of the garage. So I've bought a small "portable" air con unit. The office has no windows so I'll need to vent through the wall. Shouldn't be too hard as the wall to the garage...

    Constructing a path

I'm wanting to build a gravel path next to our block-paved driveway as the drive is too narrow to park in such a way that everyone can get out of the car easily. The path will not be driven on, it will just enable the driver to get out of that side without having to tread on the muddy garden...

    Worktop Brackets

Morning all, I've done a search on here and so far the only real solutions I can find are Häfele products which I'm struggling to find on a none-trade basis. I am looking to use an off-cut of worktop as a desk. It's standard 600mm depth, and about 1400mm wide. I want to fix it to a solid...

    How to remove fire?

Thanks - will have a peek, although it feels like it's fixed about half way up each side which is what has me flummoxed.

    How to remove fire?

Well the metal frame does slide off, but there's no fixings behind it. I can wobble the fire freely in the hole, just not get it out. I'm wondering whether I'd have to take off the whole surround to get it out?

    How to remove fire?

Thanks for the answer. I can't see how it unclips, but I will have another look.

    How to remove fire?

Really random question I guess, but I realised last night that my sons have been posting toys and other stuff up the flue of our gas fire. The fire is disconnected from the gas supply as we don't use it. I can't work out how to get the fire out so I can retrieve all the stuff behind it. Any...
