Thanks for replying.. I’m not a regular DIY’er, especially cautious around electrics. Was a little concerned by the explicit warning and couldn’t understand why I shouldn’t wire it up to a regular plug.

The pump was purchased from Anchor Pumps in the UK, SFA the parent company is actually French and the UK instructions are translated from the French original.
