It could be that the drain is blocked - my bosch washing machine was forever doing the same so in the end I had to take it apart and clean out the drain hose.

On the front of the machine is a flap in the bottom right hand corner. Open it There is a small hose that pulls out so you can drain some of the water out before unscrewing the big filter cap.
