Does your system have a motorised valve? (probably sited near the pump) if so, it could be faulty, you should be able to operate it by hand.

Hi, I have an Alpha oil fired combined boiler cooker which had started making a shreiking noise. It seems to be comming from te pump/motor unit. My qestion would be which would most likely be making the noise, the pump o the motor? I presume there is a fan on the other end of the motor but I...
