I see what you mean. The boiler itself didnt appear to be on with the pump.would that necesserily mean it wasnt the motorised valve. I will chech out furthur about the vaves to see what is happening.

There are two valves on system, but i think i saw both of them moving when the system was switched about. Will have to rechech this . Is it likely the pump was wired to a permanent live wire in the wiring centre by mistake.

cheers for that. fridge is 14 years old. is there any way i can chech to ensure thermo is problem before buy new one. Could probably get second hand fridge for £28. Woudnt want to buy thermo if not the problem.

My frigidaire R1581 has stopped working. Its 14 years old . How can i test the thermostat. Is it possible to get a thermostat reasonably priced, or should i throw it away and replace it completely.

Yes i know it does. But given a choice is there any side that is best.

Probably old issue, but i am about to put TRVs on some rads and note they are reversable. Is it best practice to put them on the flow or return side of a radiator. I note on here that some say that if they are on the return side it can result in a bit of noise when they close. What is best@
