Obviously my reply wasn't polite, but it was a RESPONSE to the impolite reply I received. I can think of better ways to point out something that than trying to ridicule the other person or take the p**s out of their question. I thanked him for his help and that was that as far as I was...
I never said they didn't and I thanked them for their help, so please don't twist things and try to make it look like it's me who is being unreasonable. Sarcasm is not polite and if you can't see the sarcasm (wich was very clear) then what can I say to you? Joke?
I don't think you read my comment properly. There is already light in the room so why would they turn a light on? If they stank the room out then they would look for a fan wouldn't they? I am beginning to wish I'd never asked.
I didn't say it was DESPERATE!!! I wanted some assistance with a problem. And yes it was sarcasm actually. I don't need anyone to advise me on how I should see things, and I really don't give two hoots what you 'care for'. I was very polite and agreeable and I can do withour sarcasm and that...
No I am not inventing a problem. I know through EXPERIENCE that the fan gets left on. I don't want it to left running and that is why I asked for help. Fans can be left on fior hours and I want mine to turn off - simples! I wasn't born yesterday pal. I think the question is quite...
Trouble is people wouldn't turn the light on if it's already light in there. Thank you all for all the advice on this. I'll try the momentary switch option.
Yes that's what I thought, they usually connect to the lights but they won't get switched on because there is plenty of light already. Yes it has a shower unit. Thanks
Does a timed extractor fan always have to be linked to the light switch? I need to fit an extarctor fan in the toilet which has a non opening window so the light won't need to be switched on. I would like it on a timer incase it gets left on, but obviously when I pull the seperate pull...
I have plain concrete tiles at present. I am sure that Building control will insist on vents in any case which isn't a problem to me. My main question is, can the LA insist on a re roof if the felt is damaged?
The main thing is I need to get the roof extension up and running but the re roofing could always be done at a later stage when I can afford to do it. Obviously it would be great if I could do it all in one go but I am not that wealthy. The issue is whether the LA could insist on it being done...
I agree that would be nice, but it will cost me an arm and a leg for a total re roof. I am on a limited budget so I need to cut my cloth accordingly so as to speak. But thank you for your input.
I am having a loft extension on my 1930s bunglow with dormers fitted front and rear. The plans are being drawn up at the moment but the architect wasn't sure if it will require re roofing due to the old damaged roofing felt. The roof tiles are good and the timber is sound but it still has the...
