Without sounding rude what's the point of this forum then if not to ask for advice? Although I understand anyone's reluctance to help in such a combustible subject. The terms 'competent' and 'engineer' can be misleading.

ive been having issues with the above. It wouldn't start and occasionally blew the 3 amp fuse and the fast blow on the PCB. I've check the pump, pressure switch and fan. I disconnected each connectors one by one to the PCB and couldn't find the fault. I assumed hat it must be the PCB itself...

I've now changed the PCB and the (intermittent) problem still persists. I'm running out of ideas.

At first I though it was the motorised valve because I'd had problems and replaced it. As soon as I realised there was no call I suspected the pcb. As an ex glow worm apprentice I know how temperamental these are. It's a solo 3 at 16 years old I'm now wondering if it's time to replace it...

Can you tell me if the AUBE TH232-A-F-AF controller is a direct replacement for the eStat762 controller? They look the same and have the same specs but one is half the price of the other. (Aube £45/eSTAT £90) AUBE is part of Honeywell so it's made by a repretable company. Julian
