Thanks. That sounds right. The plumber who put in the cylinder and fixed other bits and pieces says it's an EU regulation that there are trip switches fitted and that this happens regularly which doesn't really make sense. Surely all tanks would trip then? Thanks though.

We seem to have this recurring problem whereby if we put on the immersion (to bath) and the heating is on at the same time, it trips the thermostat. It then needs to be reset. Does anyone else have this problem and how did you stop it happening (other than not having the heating on at the same...
