So you can't be prosecuted and little chance is there of being sued. What is everyone worrying about. It was done all the time years ago and still disconnected today on some of the old cutouts without damaging the seal

The only other thing I can suggest is to contact one of the companies that advertise parts for theie storage heaters and ask them or failing that take them out and if you need to disturb the material you think might be asbestos then dispose of it sepatately using all necasary protaection.
