the problem is I kinda fancy one in the brushed chrome look and I'm thinking that they dont have one to match my other sockets? I suppose I could change it ti a single socket, and that would just be a very normal, standard, idiot proof, socket front???

I think that is very good advice. The cable that is there is so thick and is really stiff to handle. Is all cable the same? Do I just go and get a new bit and connect it???
