Ok, yes I can understand that, however if the fitting was not fully home it would leak from the side that was not pushed properly home, this is not happening. What happens is that it blows the filter cap off breaking one of the small clips that hold the cover in place. It must be overpressure...

Hi All, Wondering if anyone can give me some guidance on why the above boiler is blowing out the heating flowpipe filter assembly? This has happened 4 times now & keeps flooding the boiler... Every time I replace the filter body it seems to work fine for a couple of months before letting go...
