    **squeals** I've just 'sanded' the affected area with some very fine sandpaper and it's shifting the stain/burn . Thank you so much for your help .. ... I cant express how relieved i am .. :))

    I'm not too sure of the meaning of 'flashing' .. Do you mean another strip of upvc which is then stuck over the top of the bottom of the window to cover the 'burns' ? Here's a picture of the 'burn' which doesnt look too bad but the picture only shows the 'dark' red when in actual fact...

    My son has stripped the paint from his window sill using a heat gun however , he has got the heat too close to the upvc window resulting in a red discolouration of the window in 2 places . I'm guessing that the heat has turned the pigment in the plastic and cant be rectified ? Any help will...
