will take that into consideration thanks but there's a gas pipe running under the floor and thought that might be the easiest and only solution without disrupting the gas (me and gas don't get along).

2 rooms have been knocked into one but the extra room's floor is slightly higher 1.5" than the other can this be levelled by sand and cement screed or will the whole floor need re-laying if the screed is ok it will raise the kitchen floor and create a step into the kitchen from the hallway would...

I'm making the kitchen/utility room into 1 large kitchen/diner when the walls were taken down the 2 concrete floor levels were slightly different approx 1.5". the higher floor is the old utility room (looks like floors were laid after walls were built) I want to tile the floor after new kitchen...
