thanks the noise seems to be coming at the back of the base from inside the wall, where the base meets the wall, but it only started the past 2 weeks and it was installed 2 months ago, it happens not just when l step on the base itself but the bathroom floor, l cant have it pulled up again...

thanks its only 12 years old so do you think because of how thick the steel is it would probably take decades to become a serious problem. if l were to apply a coating or spray should l sand the rust off first
