Combi Boiler NEw problem - blockage?

Thanks for replying. Some of rads have cold spots and have for a while, but getting hot now, just a little slower than before. Might get a cleaner and put into system, X400 or something like that

Combi Boiler NEw problem - blockage?

More info: some of the rads heat up - some hotter than others, some have always taken longer, and boiler is now cycling, coming on for a minute or two and going off, always had trouble with 2 rads in back bedrooms, think it is balancing issue but we have lots of 15mm drops. Overheat doesn't...

Combi Boiler NEw problem - blockage?

Boiler comes on and after a minute or so goes out. On both heating and hot water. Sometimes the overheat needs resetting, sometimes not and the pump runs and the cycle repeats. I think there's a circulation problem, but not sure what else to try. I've bled all radiators, magnaclean and pump...

    Harness/connector problem in boiler

Baxi 80 eco. Not a condensing. I am not but it is not in the combustion chamber, it is accessible by the pump etc

    Spade connector, cable, harness query.

Hi, thanks for replying. It is for a thin cable that joins the spade connector that attached to 2 prongs on the boiler thermistor. In the cable just before the spade connector there is a break as has been found when fault finding.

    Spade connector, cable, harness query.

Hi, the black spade connector that connects to the NTC thermistor has a cable problem. One of the 2 has a loose connection below insulation, about half inch out from connectoe. Is it possible to remove the 2 red cables from the connector, cut and strip the faulty part and reconnect? Or can a new...

Combi Heating Problem. How Water Fine!

Hi, just an update. The cable going to the NTC sensor has a loose connection inside. This was discovered today. When moved/squeezed with grips, the fan runs and boiler fires up. But when let go, cuts out. Is there any way to add some new cable to the black plastic clip/connector that attached to...

Combi Heating Problem. How Water Fine!

Hi, thanks for reply. Only 1 pressure on this I believe. I looked in manual. The NTC sensor is correct and so is the overheat

Combi Heating Problem. How Water Fine!

Just for info for anyone interested: gas valve pressure was checked and apparently 12.2 millibar which is what should be. Still the problem persists! Very strange. Not sure if this boiler has known problem like this but am annoyed as very cold

Combi Heating Problem. How Water Fine!

Thanks again all. I will ask the man across road to check gas pressures. He is usually very good but was stumped, very popular in area. ALl valves are open and magnaclean was cleaned, was badly sludged up. Return valve filter isn;tpresent and was checked when magnaclean was cleaned.

Combi Heating Problem. How Water Fine!

I have had the PCB changed as well as the flame probe and lead by a local gas safe gentleman and still the problem continues. He tested the NTC temperature sensor and diverter valve and said he is stumped. He recommended a new boiler but I can't afford one yet. Is there anything weird that could...
