After 12 months I've finally deduced that the washing machine is tripping the ELCB on the circuit board. any suggestions how to stop it tripping? I have touched the earth pin on the plug and got a small shock!

The dryer is tumbling fine but not heating at all. Is this the thermostat - if so where is it located in the machine and how can I prove it's faulty. Thanks
