Update —- thank you all for your comments and help, I really appreciate it’s tough on a forum but I had to decide whether a plumber or electrican job due to money. It was the waste pipe leaking onto the socket at the back. Thank you!

I have just tried this with several buckets from the downstairs loo and unfortunately it didn’t trip. So this is the tap then? Do I need a plumber or electrician? Thank you so much

This is a good shout, because I have noticed sometimes it won’t trip with the tap on a lower pressure but if I empty the washing bowl into the sink it will trip?
