Thanks John for asking.
We've had the EV since Oct 2013. Bought secondhand. Charging off a commando-type socket installed by the pv supplier.
We moved in April 2014 and had a chargemaster/polar chargepoint installed.
We dont have economy 7 though we have toyed with the idea. We work part-time...
Thanks guys for all shades of helpful responses.
I'll leave it there.
BTW The original issue was the 70% increase in electric bill when doubling pv generation.
Cheers
Hmm.
I am very much obliged for your responses.
It seems to be something that is within my ability to understand.
But I am completely flummoxed by this apparent zero export.
Does it change everything if I mention that a Tesla Powerwall was installed at the same time?
And I charge my EV about...
Thanks ban-all-sheds for the reference to all other consumers paying for my FiT.
We all also have to pay for adventures in nuclear.
And the companies owning windfarms and fields full of panels where crops used to grow.
All generating infrastructure.
Thanks Lectrician
You say "It is not faulty, it just doesn’t report any export. It reports RED as it can see reverse energy detected."
Why then does the check/smart meter show almost zero export? If the export is actually happening?
Cheers
Many thanks.
I'm getting FiT for the original install. There is an 'export' meter attached to the system.
November generation was 52kWh, December 24kWh and Jan 35kWh.
The check/smart meter shows almost nothing on the export register. The import side of the check/smart meter seems to be about the...

Thanks John
It came about because I doubled up my pv to max 4kwp last October.
I expected my electric bill to reduce a lot.
But when the first 3mth meter reading showed we had used 70% more than same 3mths previous year I reported what I take to be a faulty meter.
Very strange to try to get to...
Commenting because:
1. Only just found the thread.
2. Because only just found that I have on eof these meters, installed in 2016.
The meter is blocking export of pv. Presumably it is set to block pv for everyone?
Cheers
Hi All
Just posted on another thread - https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/landis-gyr-5235a-red-display.241990/page-2
Type:5235A is listed by OFGEM as 'Faulty' meter for detecting reverse current. Even though it alternates between 'rEd' and numeric display.
I've had a smart/check meter installed...
