    How to vent a wc.

Thanks. Yeah, I think it's got to be the 'visible' duct. Dumb question perhaps - am I right in the assumption that the fan goes at the inner (room) end of the duct, rather than at the outer wall end?

    How to vent a wc.

Sorry, possible confusion of using 'wc/toilet' as the room and the item. I'm talking about venting the proposed new small room with the toilet in it. The middle wall next to the toilet pan is the proposed new wall. The whole two sections illustrated either side of that wall are currently one...

    How to vent a wc.

Looking for options here. We're cutting down a large bathroom with a window to a toilet and a (dry) utility room (there's another bathroom in the house). The toilet will be on the inner side of the room, so, no longer has a window. The void above the ceiling is not continuous (annoyingly, it is...

    Door frame gap filler

Brilliant. So obvious too. I had my mind fixed on the idea of filling the whole void, but it's really only needed where the screws go. Thank you!

    Door frame gap filler

Ideas please. I have a combined door and frame (metal door and frame, the frame screws into an existing wooden frame space). The space for it is almost perfect, but for around 2mm at the side. I need to fill that space to stop the door frame from distorting as I tighten the screws. I have...

    Join pair of towel rails

Yes indeed, that is a good option. . There's a number of additional factors, not least the desire to make the most of salvage along with minimising cost (as a challenge rather than a necessity). Plus, we may try it with the single rail first. But, yes, for ease and simplicity, just get a...

    Join pair of towel rails

Thanks. That's the kind of thing I've been imagining. I wanted to catch anything I missed, and I like the cone seat union for minimising the join though. This option would be cheaper though, and adds some flexibility in mounting. Great thing is, it's my son's decision and wallet, so I just do...

    Ah, cool. Thanks.

    Join pair of towel rails

I like the idea, but I'm not sure how I could fit it unless I'm missing something. It's a solid object isn't it? So I'd have to line up both fittings on all four threads at the same time and tighten them little by little. Chance of a good seal all round is limited I'd have thought.

    Join pair of towel rails

I have an identical pair of small chrome towel rails. They have valve threads at the bottom, and bleed valve and cap at the top. So placed one above the other, the bleed valve and cap on top of one would line up with the valve threads on the bottom of the other. I'm wondering if I can join...
