Thanks for that - does the cost go up alot if I take the chimney out on the first floor? It just seems that if you are going to remove a chimney you may as well remove it from the bedrooms as well? Yes I am in Sussex - are you local?

Any idea how much approx? I would possibly take the chimney out on the first floor as well depending on how much extra it would cost.

Can anybody give me some advice?? I would like to know if it is possible to remove an internal wall that has a chimney in it? I believe the wall is load bearing, it has a wall above it and obviously a chimney continuing into the loft. It is not a partly wall, it is adjacent to an outer wall and...
