    Potterton Suprima 60 L

My Suprema 30L had the same symptoms for a while and then it just blew the mains fuse. Replaced the PCB and now it is working fine. Seems to be a common problem with the Suprema range. Of course your fault may be different but it sounds similar. Check previous posts on this forum.

Dimmer switches - can I convert a master to a slave?

I have thought about it some more. The live feed can be connected to the slave switch. You just need one master and as many slaves as you want. The live feed and load can be connected to any of the switches. The slaves and masters can be in any position. As long as there is only one master.

Dimmer switches - can I convert a master to a slave?

It might be possible to do this with varilight dimmers. The two gang switch would have to become a two gang master and the other switches which are presume are singles, would become slaves. However, this would involve using the live feed from one master switch to feed the other gang...

bad job done by a pro!!

Sorry, a complicated description. To put it simply. The socket is 12 inches below and 12 inches to the right of the water connections on the back of the machine.

bad job done by a pro!!

The socket is under the drainer part of the sink. A cabinet surrounds the plumbing and the sink, but the drainer overlaps the cabinet. The washing machine space is under the overlapped drainer and under the worktop that extends from this. The socket is on the wall at the back of this space. The...

bad job done by a pro!!

I have a single unswitched socket under a space in the worktop. It is designed for a washing machine. Should this socket be splashproof? I am about to put a washing machine in the space. The socket is not RCD protected.

Where did I say this? I pointed out that more information is required. Read my post properly.

Earthing a stainless steel splashback in a kitchen

Cross bonding is not required in kitchens. Though one can use it if desired. Cross bonding metal parts that are isolated due to plastic plumbing may not be a good idea. It can decrease safety. More needs to be known about the installation to make a judgment about what is required. RCD...

Help with changing an old bathroom ceiling light switch

There are many ways to wire up lighting circuits. The number and colour of the wires is not enough information. How many lights, other devices does the switch operate? How many switches are on the switch plate? Do other switches operate the same light(s)? How was the old switch wired?

    Moving to france

I have created some new figures based on FWL's data and the latest population data that I could find. Assuming that UK is 1, then the information shows how many more or how many less people are killed per head of population than the UK. Direct UK = 1.00 france = 31.23 4.18...

    Bloomin' compression joints

I live in a new house and it is plumbed entirely in HEP2O plastic plumbing. Plastic plumbing is reliable and easier to fit than compression joints. HEP2O works at 6 Bar , 95 Degrees C. Higher pressures at lower temperatures. Other systems probably have similar performance. Push fit plastic...
