ha i would have fitted the valve but the fact its acting exactly the same points to it being something else, asked the question thinking maybe the wiring or something could be doing this. thanks anyway for help
thanks for that reply very helpful.
my only concern is the current valve behaving this way and also a brand new valve wired in as a dummy also having a faulty micro switch?
thanks its a honeywell mid position v4073a
whilst watching the dummy valve i had wired into same connections as plumped valve i could see the ball moving from port to port and locating securely to block off hw but not ch. when mains to boiler switched off the ball then secured fully to shut...
Not took current valve off to see if its passing but what i did was buy a new valve and wired it in additionally as a dummy valve and watched how it functioned and it did exactly as current valve. It fully closes ch port when no power to it, it fully covers hw port when just ch called and it...
i have a fault on ch system. It is a conventional y plan system and the fault is the ch radiator get hot when only hw is called for. I have checked wiring and it looks to follow the honeywell circuit diagrams for the mid position valve and y plan system.
the instructions state that for just...
on my central heating system i have a pump then a 3 way mid position valve then two outlets one to central heating radiators and one into the hot water tanks. Is this system a fully pumped hw and ch system or could it be a gravity fed hw and fully pumped ch system?
thanks
The insert for the waste trap on my shower is missing causing a bad smell when en suite used. Had drains contractor come out due to smell thinking it was the drains but he then pointed out the missing trap. He wanted £95 to replace the insert, not the whole trap just the insert that goes in...
Thanks.
Every other part of the system is working fine, both wall stat and cylinder stat operating fine and cut boiler out and start it up as they should.
Siemens programmer Pin 1 = hw off
Pin 2 = ch off but is not used as stated in diagrams...
when only hot water selected my radiators get hot. I have checked wiring and it all seems wired correctly for a y plan system according to honey wells diagrams. I have proved the 3 way valve is not sticking by wiring a new one in as a dummy and watching it move between ports. The valve irks fine...
