Worcester + Wave = constantly running pump ??

Just to check, is everything still as it should be with the wave? After months of telling me there is an issue with the EasyControl they are now saying it’s ‘just me’... so back to this again, sigh. Got an appointment tomorrow to look at the boiler for some reason but have been told them will...

Worcester + Wave = constantly running pump ??

Been 6-7 weeks now for me. Gave me a new Wave and fixed it 100%, until that new Wave did an auto update and it ****ed again. Then I got given an EasyControl, which has much the same problem... apart from it also fire up the boiler when past the requested heat, so not just a pump noise, but also...

Worcester + Wave = constantly running pump ??

Hey Paul, I have done! They admit there is a problem to me at least with the wave. They now also admit there is a problem with the EasyControl.... just need to keep waiting I guess.

Worcester + Wave = constantly running pump ??

Ok, two days after we were given the EasyComfort as a replacement for the Wave. Same problem... or a version of it. Essentially it gets to temperature, then over temperature and the pump/fan (not sure which) just keeps on running! Putting the target temperature down fixes it, as does popping...

Worcester + Wave = constantly running pump ??

Got the easycontrol installed today and problem solved straight away. They gave me it for free because of the Wave issues so worth phoning and complaining I reckon!

Worcester + Wave = constantly running pump ??

Yeah, same as above issue wise that went away 100% with new wave and came back when it updated... so no doubt it’s the firmware. I have complained so much I am getting the new EasyControl installed tomorrow so hopefully no more bloody pump running!

Worcester + Wave = constantly running pump ??

Ohhh, what’s that? I have been told I could have a non smart thermo but I don’t think they called it that. They also said there is a new Wave coming out in the next few weeks which they may give us but will wait

Let me know how you get on with the complaints department please Brett. I will be phoning this morning to find out the next step... give me another new wave, roll back the current one or give me a non smart thermostat until this is fixed. Getting fed up with it now.

Worcester + Wave = constantly running pump ??

Hurrah, 6 days later and it updated to 2.19.1 this evening and the problem seems to be back straight away. Guess I’ll phone tomorrow! They will be giving me a lot of Waves if they only last a week before breaking again!

Worcester + Wave = constantly running pump ??

Yeah, I fear you are right! Though they did suggest they aren’t pushing updates until it is fixed so will wait and see... they will be out again if it updates and is broken ;)

New wave fitted with 2.18.2 software and problem seems to be fixed! Gets up to heat, fan goes off! Hurrah! Now if it updates to 2.19.1 I’m going to be calling for another one :)

Worcester + Wave = constantly running pump ??

Heard back today that they are actively looking at the problem but they have no idea on timeline, so have offered to fit a new wave at the weekend. I assume it won’t auto download the shoddy current version after a few days :) I think the bug is actually also causing the wave to misread the...
