not sure but we had pigeons three years in a row. Not sure if they were the same pair. We are in a rural seaside town. We do have a lot around as we have woods at the bottom of the street so more than average bird life.

well rebooting is overkill. It's prob windows doing powersvaing on the network card and if turning that off doesn't prevent it, then forcing a clean reconnect in terminal would prevent the need to reboot. You could easily automate that with a simple python script you double click on for convenience.
