Filling loop & Pressure gauge - Fitting

I need to fit a filling loop and pressure gauge without an expansion vessel, as I already have one in the loft so I want to be able to monitor pressure/fill up without going up there every time. So, the filling loop is straightforward to fit, but its the pressure gauge I need help with...

Sealed system - Losing pressure every day... condensate??

I reckon you could be right Slapper - could very well date back to when we had the whole lot moved up into the loft, I suppose it could have taken a slight knock on the way up? If it is the cylinder, is there anything I need to look out for when getting a new one ie any new ways of doing it...

Sealed system - Losing pressure every day... condensate??

Drain off valve is fine and dry. Had 2 different (recommended) qualified plumbers look, end up paying about £70-odd an hour to watch them sit there staring at it saying "well, you must have a leak". I think I'll try isolating the hot water tank coil, then if that's no good it's old...

Sealed system - Losing pressure every day... condensate??

Had the system changed to sealed 1 yr ago because it was too noisy (!) - told this was due to the pump being to close to the pipe that vented into the header tank - so it was drawing in air - seemed to make sense. Anyway, had it sealed - just as noisy since then as the air gets in so pump is...

Sealed system - Losing pressure every day... condensate??

The other 10% is probably a lot less - its just where the pipework goes in the walls from upstairs to downstairs. most of the rest is jointless runs of plastic that I've replaced over the years, and downstairs is in void under floorboards (30's build) so I can see it all. Also put a bucket...

Sealed system - Losing pressure every day... condensate??

Thanks for the reply and the condensate max, I must have missed that in the manual - I will be sealing the cut with a connector now I know its not the heat ex, but I dont understand what the risk is running with the cut / open pipe???

Sealed system - Losing pressure every day... condensate??

THanks for that - I had previously ruled out a leak in the coil as I thought I'd have noticed the hot water being discoloured due to inhibitor - but of course that's all long gone! I'll put a couple of isolator valves on it and give it a go - wont be too popular going without hot water with a...

Sealed system - Losing pressure every day... condensate??

I have a sealed c/h system with a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 24Ri boiler. But I lose all pressure every day, yes within 24 hrs or probably abour 5 hrs of heating and 1.5 hrs of hot water!! Cant find a leak anywhere, and can see about 90% of all pipework. Expansion vessel pressure is good...

Filling channels in floor - Not screed?

1st post, so please bear with me... In the middle (ish) of converting 3 rooms into one large kitchen diner. Had walls taken out, doing the rest myself. I've had to make 2 channels in the concrete/screed floor to run rad pipes. This has left me with the channels to fill, both about 3.5...
