The photo is of the cold tap which I presume has either been released at some point or not fixed with grub screw. I'm looking to fix the hot tap which is fixed to the spindle via a grub screw.

The hole is at the bottom of the tap and it only turns on quarter towards wall. hence, limited space to insert the key.

Sorry yes I meant allen grub screw (the 6 sided). I've tried a couple of keys and I can find any purchase on the screw. I am having to use the shorter side of the key as it is the only side that there is room to use.

I am trying to remove the cover to a bathroom basin tap. One was already loose (see picture). I think that there is a hew screw holding it onto the spindle but I can't work out how deep and what size the hex screw is. I have tried various sized hex keys without any luck so far. Any...
