Hi folks.
We've got a problem with our shower pump and I was hoping I could get some advice on where to start diagnosis. I've attached photos of the pump.
Here's what I know:
- It's not the fuse
- It doesn't make any noise or sound like it's trying to do anything
- It gets very hot. I...
Great. Thank you. I'll try some maintenance then.
I can't seem to find the manual for the N2.0 on this page:
http://www.stuart-turner.co.uk/downloads/
Do you know if this would be the same thing (as it says it can be positive or negative)...
Thank you for your response.
That's very strange. I wonder if they installed the wrong kind of pump in the first place.
Our cold water tank is higher than our pump (it's on the same floor but on top shelf of airing cupboard).
The problem with the pump is that it just makes a humming...
Hi,
Our shower pump has broken so I'm looking to replace it. I can't imagine it's difficult to swap in a new one (just a case of turning off the water + electricity, disconnecting the old one, and connecting the new one, right?).
The one we currently have is an old model of this one...
Hi Everyone
I'm looking to have all our windows and a door double glazed but I have no recommendations on a good company. I've researched around Google but every company seems to have a mixture of good and bad reviews.
I'm based in East London and looking for sash windows.
Does anybody...
Phew, this is stressful.
I paid the plumber a fortune to fit this new part and I'm really struggling to get them to come around and fix the problem they've caused. So far we have arranged four appointments and he has turned up to one of them but didn't even look in the tank, just asked me...
Thanks everyone.
I've taken a photo of the ball, with a tape measure. It's at a very awkward angle so sorry I couldn't get this clearer. I think it's 6".
The valve is slightly smaller than a 50p piece so I think it is 3/4"
He is coming to replace the ball with a smaller one, but...
Thanks for your help guys.
The plumber says the ball is too big and is coming back tomorrow to fit a smaller ball.
Does that sound right? Is that ball too big? It looks like the same size as the old one.
I was thinking he would just bend it back away from the side as you guys suggested.
Here we go:
Maybe the plumber meant a ball cock valve.
They charged for the following parts:
- relief pressure valve
- ball valve
The ball just got stuck again and caused another overflow.
We have a problem with our hot water tank as the relief pressure valve was broken. Previously there was a floating ball that sat on the top of the water connected to the valve.
A plumber came and replaced the valve, and the ball. The ball now rests against the side of the tank. I know...
It's definitely an electrically pumped shower.
Regarding these bits:
| What type of fuse/MCB do you have at the Consumer Unit?
Not sure what this means but can't access the pump since it's under the bath which is all tiled in.
| And are you sure that this or the RCD hasn't tripped...
