@hertsboilers my manual doesn't have a d.097 @Steelmasons my manual doesn't have a d.131 If the hot water cylinder temp is below the required and the programer permits it then the boiler decides to heat the cylinder instead of heating the rads and obeys the settings in d.019.

Because there is a setting with CH as auto and DHW as 1 or 2. 1 pump and several settings depending on which mode the system is in. CH auto DHW 1 or 2

the code is mentioned in the manual but not as a second level diagnostics.

my manual doesn't mention a second diagnostics level, i've not referred to a second diagnostics menu. You are referring to something that does not correlate to the information i have and therefore the original question i asked.
