It's a honeywell thermostat, looks a few years old. There's a black button in between numbers 3 and 4 which clicks in and out when you turn the thermostat round. Not sure if that's involved in removing the cover?

I turned one radiator off the other day as that particular room was boiling hot, but now it won't heat up again. I heard from a local plumber that the valve inside the thermostat can get stuck but i can't work out how to remove the thermostat cover. It looked easy when the plumber did it last...
