Hi all
I had a full new central heating system installed. All radiators fine except the one in my bedroom is driving me nuts. When the boiler is turned on the rad makes a loud tickling sound every 5 seconds for the first 10mins whilst the rad is filling up.
Installers have been out...
Hi. I've just bought a house with storage heating and I am looking into upgrading to an electric boiler. I've been advised that the Thermaflow is the best, and is cheap(ish) to run. Its a 9KW unit and will run on an Economy 2000 tarrif with 18 hours off peak, charged at £0.07pence per kw...
Not at the mains fuse box, just at the Hortsmann box.
I think the previous owners must have had the timer set to during the day, as the clock timer was way off?
Phew! Hopefully that sorts it out. I also read on the instructions that the battery will run on stand by for up to 6 days and we havent used the water in over 6 days, so this is probably why we had to re-set the clock.
Thanks again as its very expensive to run during the day.

Right now the dial (outer circle) is set at 2pm but I'm assuming this should be set to the current time, ie 8pm? Will that mean that if I set the dial to the correct time and switch the timer on, it will only heat the water on off peak?
Thanks.
