Thanks for the replys guys. It would appear that the room stat is getting to temp and doing what it should but the boiler is still churning away with the water then not going anywhere. I think it may be the thermocouple in the boiler that needs replacing

Hi When I run my CH everything seems fine at first, rads heat up (though not overly hot) then after a while the boiler starts making load noises and the rads go cool. On of the pipes coming out of the top of the boiler is so hot I would take the skin off your fingers. So I have to turn it off...
