Quite possibly. I've ordered a home asbestos kit where you send a sample to a lab, just to be safe. Here's hoping it's not asbestos as my costs seem to be racking up quickly enough without that

Thank you. I don't think it's lino, it's quite thick and very crumbly. I've been reluctant to dig down to check exact thickness in case it contains asbestos.

Does anyone know what this floor is made of? It was under the carpet in my 1955 maisonette and I'm a bit worried it might contain asbestos! I can attach more images if required.
