Also meant to say the cover is still off the pir. I have now put battery back in and closed pir. The message on the panel has changed to test failed but doesn’t say location (living room). The pir is sitting in my kitchen now.

I’ve done that but it doesn’t permanently remove the message. Every time I set the alarm it appears again. What I would like to know is how I can stop the message from reappearing.
I changed the battery in my external bell. AFAIK you shouldn’t have to program anything but when I tested to see if the external bell would sound if I simulated break in the alarm sounded at the key pad but not the external bell. Does anybody know if I have to get the system to re-learn the bell?
In appendix f of programming manual under fault wireless mismatch it describes as’there is an input learnt without having a type assigned to it’. Under solution it says ‘assign an input type in change inputs’.

I’m not sure how ( stupidly I think I was in master manager and when I removed the pir cover I triggered the alarm) . Then I thought I had to relearn the pir after inputting new battery.
You say I shouldn’t have to relearn after changing battery. Should I just have to go into engineer mode...
