Exterior wall round a raised patio?

What about something like a right-angle stainless bracket, with a similarly sized stainless plate on the other side and then just bolted? Or if you want to go cheap, even something as simple as this with a washer on t'other side...

Shifting sand/quarry dust/soil up 15 foot of steps

Done. Looked into several of the options. Combinations of cost and availability slowly ruled them all out, so there was only one thing left..... Buckets and two mates :P Beer has amazingly persuasive properties!!!!

Can't see that thing getting up a roughly 1 in 2 gradient surely?

    Advice requested on pointing paths

It depends on your definition of wet or dry Wabbit! My "fairly dry wet mix" would be about the same consistency as you've described. Plenty people though do it totally dry and just brush it in, that's what I was describing when I said it was naff.

Shifting sand/quarry dust/soil up 15 foot of steps

Cheers for replies. Ladylola, Conveyor sounds interesting, I'll see if I can price one of those. Not worried about transformers 'cos I can borrow a box from a relative easy enough. imamartian, Crane would be out of my budget - 3 story house with a garage underneath! Deluks - Combining...

    Advice requested on pointing paths

I use the Larsen stuff, but simply 'cos that's what everyone stocks near me. I'm sure it's all much of a muchness. I add it to the water first, and then use the water/plasticiser mix. You'll need a LOT less water than normal. If it's going to mark it, you could try your tape idea. You...

    Advice requested on pointing paths

I use about 4 or 5 to 1 sand cement. I always do it wet, dry has no strength when it sets and it just cracks and things grow in it. I stick a good lot of plasticiser in my mix 'cos it tends to take a while to use the whole mix. I do use a fairly dry wet mix tho, if that makes sense...

How to move a summer house

As you say it's 8" by 8", I'd be inclined to pick it up and maybe get one of the kids to hold it for 10 minutes  Seriously though, being a summer house I'd assume a fair bit of glass. It's going to be hard to move it without flexing it somewhere and some (or all!) of your glass...

Shifting sand/quarry dust/soil up 15 foot of steps

I'm thinking of paving a rear garden and doing a bit of raised bedwork, which is all fine and dandy but access is a real problem. The only way in - other than through the house - is up a flight of steps at the side of the house about 15 foot high in total. There is absolutely no other access...
