They're not holes per se, just maybe like a 2mm gap around them where they have changed size over the seasons. Almost need a decorators caulk for outdoors!

Ok, what about the knots in the slats? They haven't fall men out leaving homes, but have shrunk a bit leaving a crack/gap around them that you can look through. Maybe something like PVA glue which is a bit more rubbery could plug those?

Yeah, there's no spring in the button itself. Once the current blu block has melted away, I'll unscrew the main tube mechanism thing and see if it's got a load of blue gunk causing it not to fully return back up

The dual flush button on our toilet cistern doesn't return fully up now, not sure why. If you hold the button down, it still flushes. Just doesn't pop back up flush like it used to. Seemed to coincide with when we started using the toilet blu things in the cistern. Not sure what effect that...

It will do for the mo to stop wasps getting in. In meantime I'll keep an eye out for a plastic sheet or something I could cut into a blanking plate for it.

I found some fine steel wool in shed, I've bunged that in the holes. May rust over time I suppose. Only concern is potentially a fire hazard for the roof vent, in case a firework or something somehow ignites it. Unlikely tho.

Would an old gas heater flue be of value for anything, or just take it to the tip? Seems a shame as there's a fair bit of metal there.

I managed to actually undo them with fingers in the end. All metal flue venting now removed from loft. What would be the best method of blocking the hole in wall and roof now? I noticed a dead wasp fall out when I removed the roof vent section, so definitely don't want that open for them to set...

Ok thanks, so nothing toxic to worry about then. I need to figure a way to get the nuts off the roof tile section. The bolt sticks out too much for a standard socket, and can't get a spanner on it.

Started dismantling the flue, and noticed this white cement filler stuff around the pipe as it enters the wall. Its all crumbled away as I've pulled the pipe away. Is this asbestos, or just some light cement filler?

I think I'll have a go out pulling it all out at some point. Is the section that goes up to the roof vent likely to just come out by undoing the 2 bolts with a socket wrench? Need to think of something to plug the holes up with after as well. Maybe stuff some fibreglass insulation in the hole...

Idk, the only evidence on where a gas heater was in our front room is a sealed off gas pipe, and a boarded up hole that seems to just go to a plastic vent straight on the other side of the wall. Maybe it is from our old gas heater
