We have had a leak in our conservatory when the wind and rain blows a certain way a damp patch appears on the conservatory wall. I waited for it to dry and then I wet the vent cowl to see if this was the issue. The damp patch reappeared. What is the best way to remove/block up the vent? Thanks

It’s leaked again with the recent rainfall, today has been dry so I’ve used the hose pipe and sprayed the vent. The wet patch reappeared in the conservatory. Hopefully this has identified the problem. What’s the best way to remove a vent? Thanks

No it didn’t leak on the outside, just the inside. I pored the water in the corner of the outside window were the seal has shrunk and it leaked in the same place as in the original picture.

Many thanks for the reply, there are gaps in the rubber seals were they meet in the corners. I’ve poured water through the gap and water has leaked in. I’m in Lancashire

Thanks for your reply. We’ve just had a new roof on the conservatory, we had the leak prior to the new roof so was hoping it would solve the problem. The cowl is no longer in use, it was for the kitchen

Hi, Every time it rains I have a leak coming in from my conservatory windows. I’ve drawn a blue circle where the leak comes in. Does anybody know how to fix this issue? Could it be the seals? Would I need new seals or could I fill in the corners from the outside with some filler? Thank you
