Yes Mr cant do it. Removing the cd r would have been my first suggestion as it will probably be an older drive which will set the UDMA value of the channel to a lower setting, possibly even PIO only. That would mean the new drive wasn't working at its fastest speed. Well done that man. B-)

On the contrary, I bought a Liteon DVD recorder last year and have had nothing but trouble with it, culminating with me opening the case and replacing the DVD-R with a different one. The hard drive and DVDR are standard PC components, there is a simple tuner and power supply inside the case...

The main motor will not spin, pump motor works OK, as does the heater blower for the dryer. However the drum will not spin. Have checked the belt (OK) the drum turns freely by hand with no grating or grinding. Have checked the motor for same, smooth as the preverbial babies bum, but the thing...
