Nest and Baxi boiler - I am learning, please help me?

Hi, Thanks for the feedback. That's how I set up for the testing too. But now try to start the manual override function (which is by pressing the Big circle button in the HeatLink), your boiler would not call for the hot water. So when you setup the system as OpenTherm, and Nest unit is off line...

Hi All, Many thanks for all your support and suggestions. I have sort of fixed the issue and here are the listings of my findings and tips, some of you may find them useful. You may find, Nest thermostat is working fine, but something may trigger the disconnection. In my case faulty Heatling...

Nest and Baxi boiler - I am learning, please help me?

Thanks Crofton, I am novice, what that means. So if boiler is starting, then why no heating. The purpose of emergency procedure means, when thermostat is not linked, I should be able to operate the heating manually? so what could be solution?

Nest and Baxi boiler - I am learning, please help me?

Thanks Ian, correct, it is an Opentherm connection (Live, Neutral, OT1 and OT2). My Boiler is Baxi 630 Combi, which is Opentherm compatible. I did call Nest, but they want me to get a Nest Pro out, huge £100 bill?

Nest and Baxi boiler - I am learning, please help me?

Thanks again. Thermostat is connected via USB plug, Heatlink is connected to L&N in Boiler. When I click the Heatlink button for over ride, Boiler turns on but no heating. When heating is on, normally an icon (like radiator symbol) on the boiler flashes. But with manual over ride this icon is...

Nest and Baxi boiler - I am learning, please help me?

Thanks Ian, thats' what I did and seem to be okay and not lost connection for 24 hours. But this is not an ideal location for my thermostat and would like to move back to landing, lets see. Do you have any idea for my Nest Heatlink manual override issue (listed above) please?

Nest and Baxi boiler - I am learning, please help me?

Hi Crofton, Many thanks, good question. I don't think so, because I tested this function on Thursday night 8.30pm. Currently Nest Heatlink is connected to Boiler L & N (G4 & G5 on the diagram above) and Heatlink OT1 and OT2 connected to Boiler H1 & H2. No other wire connections between Nest...

Nest and Baxi boiler - I am learning, please help me?

Hi Stem, you are a star, thanks for the speedy reply. 1. My Nest thermostat is not hard wired, so I am assuming don't need the T1 and T2? 2. Installer removed the link between G1 and G2, Nest is working fine. So assuming this is correct? 3. When I connected the Heatlink OT1 and OT2 to boiler...

Nest and Baxi boiler - I am learning, please help me?

Hi All, Glad to join the forum, so many experts here, well done all. Month ago I have replaced my boiler with Baxi 630 Combi (believe this is a fully Opentherm compatible boiler?), and connected with Nest 3rd generation thermostat. Installer was great, but not good with the new technology, but...
