thanks for reply I knew that I would have to use a sander !!!,but do I sand with the grain or across the grain with the sander. What would be the best sander to use All I really want to do is remove all the mark and existing varnish and then re-varnish Regards

Hi Can anyone help.We are planning to sell our house but the living room floor is in need of attention. Most of the varnish has been worn away over the years. The pattern is wishbone. Can anyone tell me the best way to sand the floor. Regards
