    Aqualisa Aquastream power shower leak

Hi everyone. I have a leaking aquaLisa aquastream shower with a leak at the front of the cartridge where the splines of the mixer tap attach. Anyone know if this is easily and quickly fixable - as it looks like it ‘could’ be an o-ring that’s perished? Thanks all!

    Hot water problem!

Update. Have replaced the ZA5 actuator with an MA1, and have checked all wiring is as per Drayton instructions. All looks fine. When Powering up system I can get hot water working about 50% of the time. When hot water is working ok, turning cylinder stat down shuts off heat and after a few...

    Hot water problem!

Right - seem to have got h/w working. Found a loose connection in terminal box on the blue wire from the programmer. Turned power back on, selected h/w and pump and boiler fire. Cylinder stat working ok. But, c/h still seems to be a problem. With h/w off and room stat set high nothing happens...

    Hot water problem!

Ianmcd - thanks, I did wonder that when I was looking at the wiring and programmer - but it seems a little odd, as the old BG head was a 2 port model, and g/f said she hasn't ever had a problem before. Is there any way I can tell from the valve itself whether it's a 3 port, or just a diverter?

    Hot water problem!

Thanks niggles - Sorry for the long explanation - was trying to give background in the absence of specific knowledge! The 'new' installation was done by a local contractor circa 2 years ago and g/f has no idea who it was as was done under a 'scheme'. She has no paperwork! The BG valve looked...

    Hot water problem!

I'm a bit stumped! Girlfriend had a new boiler and controls installed circa 2 years ago. gas cindensing boiler, 7 day timer/controller with independent heating and hot water controls, and a wireless room thermostat. Recently hot water has only been working intermittently and there's been no...

Potterton Profile 100e Pump continuously on, odd firing

Heating engineer visited this evening - and sorted the problem!! Both motorised valves had +240v at both the orange and grey wires! Frost thermostat was not firing boiler when activated. Engineer got some weird voltage differences across terminals in the boiler. Then he noticed that...

Potterton Profile 100e Pump continuously on, odd firing

Well as it's the last thing I can realistically disconnect, thought I may as well give it a try.....but surprise surprise - pump running, boiler fires!

Potterton Profile 100e Pump continuously on, odd firing

Well, I think I'll have to give up on this! Just disconnected the frost thermostat, both motorised valve switches, took the programmer off the back plate all at the same time, put the power back on - and yes, you've guessed it, pump on, boiler fired up! So seems like its almost certainly...

Potterton Profile 100e Pump continuously on, odd firing

Have just repeated test with system cooled overnight - with both grey wires disconnected and mains power restored the pump ran instantly and the boiler fired a couple of seconds later (programmer set to off)! Any last suggestions before I resort to getting an engineer out? Many thanks for...

Potterton Profile 100e Pump continuously on, odd firing

Well Couldn't wait til tomorrow to try! But disconnected each valve grey wire in turn and then both together and still the pump runs! Looks like my options are running out!

quote] I would never assume a microswitch was operating just becase it was clicking! To professionally test them you have to measure the contact resistance on each position! Tony Hi Tony, no I realise that - what I meant was that as they were both being actuated correctly and...
