Those panels are usually designed to pull out from the top. Pull out button panel. Have a look to see if butchered panel will lift out.

You could try coming off the chrome pipe with a compression elbow .

The ducting can stop before the pipework using two 45% joins to pull it flat against wall again ,run along roof and exit through the vent already there . Or take of existing grill and fit a powerful wall mounted extractor .

Run flat channel ducting from your extractor fan along ceiling, above flue along to existing vent Can all be boxed in afterwards .

Also ,you wont be able to core drill above your window as there will be a lintel there .

Rather than all the stress you are putting yourself through (7 pages on here !) . Look up a nearby ventilation service and explain your problem . Your job may be to small for them but its possible they could steer you to someone who would do it possibly a kitchen fitter they work with .
