Nice one Sleepyhead, I have poured a kettle full of hot water into the bottom of the machine as you suggested and it seems to working fine. Do you think that the temperature sensor maybe on its way out anyway and would it be worthwhile changing it as i have the machine out of its usual position...

We have an issue with our dishwasher, when switching it on any cycle it continuously beeps and the start light flashes continuously as well, there doesn't seem to be a pattern to the beeps or flashes. I have removed the drop in filter cleaned it and replaced it, the black filter grid behind this...
