    I can do that on the new wall but not against the existing wall. So is it OK to run the dpm up past the on dpc on the existing wall?

    Thanks for the info feel more convenient about the job now. Im a joiner by trade trying out brick work so once the walls are done its plain sailing from they :D

    So if I use 50mm insulation slab I must make sure that the gap between the block work is 50mm, no air gap? And if condensation is a problem ill fit some trickle vents.
