Could the stiff spindle have been the cause of the orange wire not being live btw? or is that just down to the motor/micro swicthes being faulty/worn out?
ok will do, wil a few turns of PTFE tape around the old olives give me some added seal, to be on the safe side?

was thinking of having a whole new actuator instead, but then discovered that when removing the old actuator, the spindle seemed pretty stiff, so a whole new valve may be best bet in long run...??
Am going to change our 3 port valve (Honeywell V407) type, as no Heating is coming on. And I have tested with a multi meter but no power to the Orange wire.
The valve must be about 15 years or more old now, and my question is, will the new valve olives be ok for the pipe, as I know that...
