Renault Laguna (X reg) completely dead battery

i wouldn`t tell halfords that you`ve had the car parked up if it`s got a four year warranty, same thing happened with my campervan, only used it in the summer so just before the summer i`d take my reciept and the dead battery down to halfords and get a new one off them, just tell them you came...

ok just an update incase anyone else has this problem, i took the dpf/cat off and steam cleaned the inside out until clean water started coming out of the end of the pipe, this took about 10-15 mins, took the egr valve off to clean it up, noticed some oil in the electrical plug so took the black...

HEY EVERYONE, I`VE GOT A A4 AVANT 2006 2.0 TDI 170 BHP MOTOR, AND THE OTHER DAY THE DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER LIGHT CAME ON, COMMON I KNOW, AND AUDI SUGGEST DRIVING AT BETWEEN 2.5 AND 3.5 RPM IN FOURTH GEAR TO GET THE EXHAUST GASSES HOT ENOUGH TO BURN OFF THE COKE BLOCKING THE DPF/CAT...

Query about using lining paper in corners

i wouldn`t bother lining the wall, i`d use ready mix joint cement to repair the areas that require it, then the joint cement can be sanded down to a smooth finish, once painted over or wall papered you wouldn`t know the difference...........

t cut or other cleaning solutions

I don`t think you`ll ever get it to a point to which you won`t know it was sign written, but G3 is pretty good stuff, and you`ll have to use a mechanical buffer and plenty of the compound, you`ll be months doing it manually........

Bearing noise, NOT wheel, possbly transmission, same sound!

I should have said not a big job once the gearbox is out, and if your not mechanically minded i wouldn`t start to strip the box yourself, you might be better off taking the box out and giving it to a gearbox specialist to do the bearings for you, the last thing you want is the car in bits...

    water rising up thro concrete

you could try liquid damp proofing it and then screeding over the top of it, or just putting a few slabs over the top of the exsisting base

    Mildew Fulgus in Silicone sealant

you can try allsorts to cover it up, the best way is to remove it and start again, you can buy silicone removal tool which makes the job really easy, and then put mould resistant silicone back on, if this is too much for you, try mould killer, i wouldn`t paint over the silicone it`ll just flake...

    Kitchen - Major Help Needed!

The problem your going to have with moving the door is how big the lintle is above the door, you may have to put a bigger lintle in, or if it`s two storey, maybe a RSJ, i`d just keep it where it is, and i`d definatly have a white door.

    painting on fresh plaster

I live in a similar house and i had to dot and dab plasterboard onto the walls to get rid of this problem, but i`d remove all the flaky bits with a bit of sandpaper and just paint over it with neat paint, don`t dilute it, and give it a few coats, alternatively, if the wall is a outer wall you...
